We collect sap from maple trees in March and April every year to make our Rowse Maple Syrups. By boiling 40 litres of sap, we evaporate it down to just one litre, which creates a lovely burnt toffee flavour.
Clearly at Rowse we’re crazy about providing the UK with the most perfect honey possible – but without the bees where would we be!
Honey is the only food that includes all the substances necessary to sustain life, including water.
It's Green Office Week - so here's some tips to help you go a little greener.
As many of you careful bee watchers may have noticed - it's swarm season! It's nothing to be alarmed about, let us explain a little...
Our honeys are 100% as nature intended. We add nothing and we take nothing away. The different textures, flavours, aromas and sweetness in our range come entirely from the bees.
As the days get longer and (slightly) warmer, it’s a great time to get outside and start pottering around in the garden. Bees agree too – as things heat up, honey bees will leave their winter-cluster (they don’t hibernate, but all snuggle up in a big ball and shiver to keep each other warm, surviving on stockpiled honey) and begin buzzing around in the outside world again.
Here at Rowse, we think it's important to do our bit for the environment so we can help make the world a better place to be. Follow me to see what we've been up to.
