Apple and cinnamon hot toddy

  • 250ml apple juice
  • 75ml spiced rum, rum or brandy
  • 2 tbsp Rowse honey with a hint of cinnamon, plus extra
  • 2 star anise
  1. Put all the ingredients in a small pan over a low heat and stir to dissolve the honey.
  2. Heat for a few more minutes until just hot, then remove from the heat and pour into 2 heat-proof glasses and serve.
  3. Add an extra drizzle of honey to taste if you like.
