Gingerbread French Toast with a salted Rowse Honey sauce

Ingredient title

  • 2 Eggs
  • 60ml double cream
  • 50ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • French Baguette sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter

For the Honey Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons Rowse Organic honey
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • A generous pinch of ground ginger
  • 100ml double cream
  • In a mixing bowl whisk the eggs, milk, cream and spices.
  • Slice the baguette and dip each bread slice into the batter and fry on the pan with the butter. Cook until golden. This will take a couple of minutes on each side.
  • For the sauce, simply mix together the cream, Rowse honey and salt on a low heat for about 15 minutes, until it starts to slightly thicken. Make sure to keep stirring.
  • Pour the sauce over the toast and enjoy!
