Ingredients

Method

    Preheat your oven to 160c and line a baking tray with a silicone mat or parchment paper. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar for a couple of minutes, or until light and fluffy.

    Add the orange extract or zest, followed by the Rowse Dark & Rich honey. Beat this into the butter and sugar. Then, add the egg. Gently fold in your dry ingredients and form a ball.

    Refrigerate for an hour.

    Roll out onto a floured surface until 1/4cm thick and cut out your shapes.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes.

    In the meantime, make the royal icing. Add all your ingredients into a bowl and beat with a hand whisk until thick. Cover with cling film to avoid it crusting over.

    Pipe your decoration onto your biscuits, and serve!
