Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to around 180 degrees and if you don’t have a cast-iron skillet, lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. 2

In a cast-iron skillet or frying pan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced apples and pear, with a sprinkle of cinnamon, then continue to stir until they are tender and golden. Turn off and leave aside.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl, combine the milk and eggs with ground cinnamon. Then, add in the porridge oats and baking powder. Finally, sprinkle in the redcurrants and stir in the golden goodness of Rowse Acacia Honey. Mix until the mixture is fully combined.

  4. 4

Scoop your apple and pear mixture into the oats and fold through until distributed evenly.

  5. 5

Pour the apple, pear, and oat mixture into your cast-iron skillet or baking dish. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top for a sugary crunch.

  6. 6

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the edges are golden brown.

  7. 7

Finish with extra redcurrants and a generous drizzle of Rowse Acacia Honey, then slice to enjoy!
